Getting Started
Set Up Your DevOps Workspace
Create a workspace named after your environment (production, staging, etc.). Open terminal sessions for each server tier you manage.
Add Cloud Console Browsers
Open browser surfaces for AWS Console, GCP Dashboard, Grafana, or your monitoring tools. Keep them visible alongside your terminals.
Monitor with Notifications
Watch notification rings on workspace tabs for activity updates. Long-running SSH commands, deployment scripts, and health checks trigger visual alerts.
Automate with Supervisor
Configure the workspace supervisor to run periodic health checks, restart failed services, and report status changes — all within your imux workspace.
FAQ
Can I monitor multiple cloud providers in one workspace?
Yes. Open browser surfaces for AWS, GCP, and Azure consoles side by side. Run CLI sessions for each provider in separate terminal panes within the same workspace.
Does imux support Terraform or Pulumi workflows?
Absolutely. Run terraform plan/apply in one pane while watching cloud dashboards in another. The source control integration tracks your IaC changes automatically.
How do notifications work for long-running tasks?
imux shows a notification ring on the workspace tab when a long-running command completes or produces output. You can also configure macOS system notifications for critical events.
Can I share my DevOps workspace layout?
Workspace layouts are saved with imux sessions. You can recreate consistent DevOps dashboards across machines by sharing your session configuration.
